Such a sad sight!

Gosh… this isn’t something you see every day. A local shared shocking photos of a huge fridge that was seemingly dumped into the sea along the Qawra coast, commenting on the current state Malta’s nature currently finds itself in.

“If you don't see with your own eyes, you won't believe. Qawra, boat houses area. I went for a swim, and look what I see just close to the ladder! A huge refrigerator thrown into the sea!!!!” Nathanael Theuma starts off in his post on socials.

“Is it possible? Are we living in a civilized country? Is this the self esteem we have, love for what is ours, for nature? Is this the Malta we want to live in, the one we promote to others? Shame.”
“We can have the highest rate of economical growth, but if this is our cultural standard then we are the poorest of beings.”

A number of other locals commented on his post or shared it, with some others calling for action, including a suggestion to consult street cameras in the area and possibly the confiscation of the culprit’s vehicle and community work hours.
