International student living in Malta? Here’s how you can get your COVID-19 booster
All you need to do is present your eSIMS registration at the reception desk.

Today’s a great day for international students who have made Malta their temporary home…

Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Malta announced that the University of Malta has made special arrangements with the local health authorities for international students registered at the university to receive their COVID-19 booster vaccine.

Since most international students don’t yet have their residence permits, there is no need for them to register online for a booster appointment.

Instead, three days have been made available for students to receive their booster at the vaccine centre located inside the University of Malta’s Gateway Building without an appointment.

These are the dates and times when international students can receive their booster:

  • Tuesday 11th January from 8:30am to 3:30pm
  • Wednesday 12th January from 8:30am to 3:30pm
  • Thursday 13th January from 8:30am to 3:30pm

Just a couple of things before you head over to the vaccine centre…

In order to be considered, international students need to present their e-sims registration at the centre’s reception desk

To do so, all you need to do is log into the UM app, click the ‘eSIMS’ tab, and press on ‘Current Course Details’.

Alternatively, one can head to www.um.edu.mt on their desktop, log on to eSIMS, press on ‘Student Course Details’, and click on ‘View your current course details’.

In case of any difficulties, students may contact the International Office at [email protected].

Get boosted!
