Adam’s Fish Shop, located in Mosta, has wowed their social media followers with some images of a squid that’s for sale in their shop, weighing an impressive 13kg. Photos show the entire squid in all its glory and subsequent photos of it being cleaned in preparation for cooking.
Squid is often used in local cuisine, usually under the culinary name ‘calamari’ or the Maltese version ‘klamari’. They can be fried in a flour batter and served as nibbles, or as a main course, stuffed with a garlic mixture and served with a delicious white wine!
