Heads up! Clear weekend ahead for Malta & Gozo, but April expected to end with a bang
After a relatively calm April, compared to March’s unstable weather, Malta and Gozo are in for a mixed bag as we wrap up the month. While the weekend ahead promises mostly clear conditions, the final days of April might go out with a bang – literally!
This weekend is expected to be partly cloudy but dry, offering ideal conditions for outdoor plans across the islands. However, strong winds between today (Thursday) and tomorrow may bring a brief blustery spell, so keep an eye out if you’re heading out on the water or planning any sea travel.
From Monday 28th April, things begin to shift. Isolated showers are likely across Malta and Gozo to start the week, making way for isolated thunderstorms on Tuesday 29th April.
Rainfall is forecast to range from 3mm to 12mm on Tuesday alone, so while we’re not expecting a deluge, it’s definitely one to prep an umbrella for.
Thankfully, the stormy spell seems short-lived. Wednesday 30th April is expected to bring clear skies, lighter winds, and a warm-up to a pleasant 23°C real feel, just in time for the start of May.
If you’re planning hikes, BBQs, or just dreaming of some spring sunshine, it looks like the weekend is your best bet, before a touch of drama in the skies makes its way into the forecast early next week.
Stay safe, stay dry, and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!
