Museums by Candlelight is soon coming to Valletta and Malta Public Transport is updating its night bus service specifically for the occasion.
On Saturday 6th June, Route 133 – the shuttle service linking the Valletta Bus Terminal with the Ferry terminal and stopping at Fort St Elmo and the National War Museum – will run additional evening trips.
Buses will operate every 15 minutes from 7pm to 10:15pm and every 30 minutes until 11:15pm, before continuing with the regular night service.
Various other bus routes, the Sliema and Cospicua ferries to Valletta, and the Barrakka Lift, will also operate later into the night.
Museums by Candlelight will see six museums and historical sites in the capital site illuminated by candlelight and brought to life by music and live performances.
The National Museum of Archaeology, the Grand Master’s Palace, MUŻA – The National Community Art Museum, the Church of St Catherine of Italy, St John’s Co-Cathedral, Fort St Elmo and the National War Museum will be open to the public from 7pm to midnight.
For €6, visitors can visit all six museums and sites, with tickets available online online or from any Heritage Malta museum or site. Heritage Malta members can enter free of charge, but pre-booking is required.
