The Genoa AC Women’s football team have announced that Maltese professional footballer Rachel Cuschieri has signed with their team for the coming season, continuing her career in Italy’s Serie B Femminile, as they made the claim 'Cuschiere is rossoblù'.

Having started in the Malta national football team, Rachel Cuschieri later took her talent overseas, playing with several clubs, including Apollon FC in Cyprus, RSC Anderlecht in Belgium, PSV Vrouwen in the Netherlands and Lazio in Italy. She most recently played as a midfielder for the Italian club UC Sampdoria, before deciding to switch to Genoa AC.

The footballer’s talent was evident from early on, as she was put on the Birkirkara first team at age 13 and was then selected for the Malta women's national football team, making her debut against Switzerland at the tender age of 14!

Wishing Rachel the best of luck with her stellar career!
