Ghadira’s Marfa Road is set to be opened by TOMORROW
Getting to Gozo is about to get A LOT easier!

Kim Vella

If you've tried heading up to Gozo in the past month, then chances are you got caught up in quite a bit of commotion…

Just last weekend, local Facebook page Maltese Roads Traffic Updates shared footage of a complete Cirkewwa / Mellieha gridlock, as drivers reportedly waited three hours to get to Gozo.

Luckily this chaos won’t last for much longer, as Infrastructure Malta (IM) - the entity responsible for Maltese roads - has just treated us to some very good news.

IM took to Facebook earlier today to announce that “all four lanes” of Ghadira’s Marfa Road will be open to motorists by Saturday night.

Unfortunately, this doesn't mean that the road is officially finished.

"Final works in this carriageway and rebuilding of southbound carriageway after summer," IM continued.

Let’s hope the works don’t last for much longer!
