The sight of a pastizzi shop next to a traditional London panel door might feel a little out of place, but that’s exactly what’s happening in Tooting, South London! A recently shared photo on the Tooting Newsie community page has revealed that the beloved M.C.Sims bakery is set to open a new location at 82 Mitcham Road, taking over the former site of the Tequila Mockingbird cocktail bar.
The news has already been the cause of much excitement among both Maltese expats and locals eager to get a taste of Malta’s most famous snack. With golden, flaky pastizzi soon to be available in Tooting, it’s a little slice of Malta right in the heart of London!
Owner Adel is currently on the lookout for staff, so if you're a Maltese food lover in London, this could be your chance to help introduce pastizzi to a whole new audience!
