Foodies, rejoice! Fuwamai Japanese Soufflé Pancakes & Bakery to open in Valletta
The fluffy pancakes are entering the capital!

Francesca Vella

Malta’s pancake lovers have reason to rejoice! Fuwamai, the Japanese soufflé pancake and bakery sensation that has already taken St Julian’s by storm, is bringing its dreamy treats to Valletta.

Currently, Fuwamai’s only outlet is just a short stroll up the hill from Spinola Bay, where seekers of comfort food flock for fluffy pancakes topped with everything you can imagine, as well as indulgent toasties that look like they could cure even the worst of hangovers.

In a recent social media post teasing the expansion, the bakery wrote: ‘It’s a matter of days, watch this space’, sending foodies, especially those working in or frequenting Valletta, into a frenzy of anticipation.

While the exact Valletta location is still under wraps, one thing is certain: Valletta’s brunch scene is about to get one sweet upgrade!

Have you ever tasted Fuwamai’s pancakes?
