Heads up, drivers!

Francesca Vella

If you're planning to head to Sliema or St Julian’s this evening, take note – several roads in the area will be temporarily closed to traffic on Wednesday 23rd July 2025, between 7:00pm and midnight.

Whether you're commuting, heading out for dinner, or simply enjoying an evening stroll, it’s best to plan ahead and avoid these areas if possible.

Here’s a list of the affected roads:

  • Triq Censu Tabone
  • Pjazza Balluta
  • Triq is-Sur Fons
  • Triq Scicluna
  • Triq il-Kullegg l-Antik
  • Triq San Enriku
  • Triq Sant’ Elena

The road closures are part of celebrations for the Our Lady of Mount Carmel feast taking place in Balluta Bay. Expect lively festivities in the area, and if you’re in the mood, why not join in?

Plan accordingly and enjoy the festa vibes!
