Travellers planning to cross the sea this weekend should prepare for disruptions, as rough sea conditions due to the strong winds continue to impact ferry operations between Malta, Gozo, and Sicily.

Due to unfavorable sea conditions forecast for tomorrow, Saturday 29th March, Virtu Ferries has announced schedule changes for its Malta-Sicily route. While the early morning departure from Malta at 5 AM will proceed as scheduled, passengers should take note of the following adjustments:

🔹 Upon arrival in Pozzallo, coach transfers will be organised to Catania Port as planned.
🔹 The return coach transfer from Catania Port to Pozzallo will now depart at 12 PM.
🔹 The Pozzallo to Malta ferry departure has been rescheduled to 3 PM.

Meanwhile, Gozo Highspeed has extended its service suspension through Saturday, March 29th, citing persistently rough seas. The service is expected to resume on Sunday, March 30th, operating as per the normal schedule.

Passengers are advised to stay updated on further changes via social media and plan accordingly.

Safe travels!
