Malta is definitely back on the map for travellers in 2025! February brought in 210,305 tourists, a huge 24% increase compared to last year. It's clear that more and more people are discovering just how great Malta is for a getaway, no matter the season.

And it's not just about the numbers – tourists are loving the island and staying for longer too! In February, visitors spent a total of 1.2 million nights in Malta, with a whopping 90% of those nights spent in rented places like hotels, guesthouses, and short-let apartments.

Tourists are spending big too – in February alone, visitors spent over €146.8 million while on the islands. Add that to January’s numbers, and it’s clear that people are enjoying everything Malta has to offer and making the most of their trips.

All in all, 2025 is off to a fantastic start for Malta’s tourism. The total number of visitors in the first two months hit over 400,000, and they spent nearly €290 million.

With more flights coming in and the islands’ charm shining through, it looks like Malta’s tourism sector is set for a great year ahead!

Do you know anyone who visited Malta for the first time this year?
