Pizza Hut has just announced that it will be closing the doors to its Bugibba outlet this Sunday 3rd November, just shy of 20 years from its opening date in December 2004.
In a message of gratitude to their loyal customers, the company reassured them that 'this is not a goodbye to the North, but a see you soon!' They said that the closure of the Bugibba branch is part of a strategic plan focused on growth in other areas.
The Bugibba outlet was the fifth Pizza Hut to open in Malta, following the St Julian’s location in 1993, Sliema (also in 1993 and closed in 2023), Valletta in 1995, and Fgura, which closed in 2006. Earlier this year, the St Julian’s outlet relocated from Spinola Bay to Baystreet. The remaining outlets, including the newer ones at Campus Hub in Msida and Qormi, will continue to operate—so if you're craving their classic breadsticks, you still have plenty of options!
