The internationally acclaimed photographer Lorenzo Agius is coming to Malta for the first time with a special exhibition. Born in London to Maltese parents, Lorenzo is the creative force behind some of the most iconic images in visual culture, including a celebrated portrait of lauded Hollywood actor, Margot Robbie.

From 12th September to 2nd November, Spazju Kreattiv in Valletta will host this highly anticipated showcase, curated by Charlene Vella. Visitors will be immersed in the photographer’s cinematic universe across four rooms, featuring large-format prints on textured watercolour paper and a dedicated projection room designed to transport guests into another dimension of his work.

Lorenzo Agius first rose to prominence with his edgy Trainspotting series, capturing the spirit of a generation embodied in the 1996 film. Since then, he has photographed some of the world’s most recognisable figures, including Jack Nicholson and Madonna, leaving an indelible mark on fashion and celebrity photography.

For photography enthusiasts and casual visitors alike, this is a unique opportunity to experience the artistry of a photographer who has consistently combined technical mastery with curiosity, resilience, and an unpretentious approach to visual storytelling.
