Murdoch Mysteries follows Detective Murdoch as he solves crimes in early 20th century Toronto
Long-running Canadian TV series Murdoch Mysteries announced that it has chosen Malta as the location for its milestone 20th season.
CBC revealed the news through a teaser in Malta featuring Yannick Bisson, who plays lead character Detective William Murdoch on the show.
Murdoch Mysteries, which first premiered in 2008, follows detective Murdoch as he solves crimes in early 20th century Toronto using innovative forensic techniques that were ahead of their time. It is based on Maureen Jennings’ Detective Murdoch novels.
The series has built a loyal international fanbase over the years and has become one of Canada’s longest-running scripted television dramas.
