A dream opportunity for future chefs!

Big news for food lovers and aspiring chefs! The Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) is stepping up its game by partnering with two internationally renowned culinary schools to launch new courses focused on Mediterranean gastronomy.

Introducing the Mediterranean Gastronomy Educational Partnership - a collaboration between ITS, Institut Lyfe (France), and CAST Alimenti (Italy). This exciting project kicked off on Friday at one of ITS’s training restaurants in Luqa, with students, lecturers, and industry experts all in attendance.

The first programme under this partnership, the Advanced Programme in Mediterranean Gastronomy, starts this year. It’s a two-semester course, where students will master Mediterranean culinary arts through intensive training in semester one and apply their skills in real-world settings during semester two. The best part is that students will get to study across all three institutions, gaining hands-on experience in diverse culinary cultures!

And this is just the beginning - ITS and its international partners are already looking at expanding their offerings with more high-level academic programmes.

Exciting times ahead for future Mediterranean chefs!
