The National Book Council has announced that Irish author Paul Lynch, winner of the 2023 Booker Prize for his novel ‘Prophet Song’, will be a special guest at this year’s Malta Book Festival, held at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali from Wednesday 6th to Sunday 10th November.

Paul Lynch, celebrated for his poetic and lyrical style in works like ‘The Black Snow’ (2014) and ‘Grace’ (2017), will engage in a public conversation with local journalist Emma Mattei on Friday, November 8th.

Also featured at the festival is acclaimed writer Anthony Horowitz, known for his popular murder mystery novels. The English novelist and screenwriter, whose attendance was announced in June, will host a special workshop titled ‘The World of Writing: A Creative Writing Masterclass’. Participants will be invited to explore key elements of plot, plot twists, and how to craft memorable stories.

These are just a few of the highlights from the festival’s five-day programme. All events are free of charge but many require booking, so be sure to check the full schedule online and plan accordingly!

Are you looking forward to this year’s Book Festival?
