The King’s Own Band Club will be hosting its annual concert on 5th February 2023 at the Manoel Theatre.
This year’s concert is based on some musical pieces which are affiliated to the British monarchy. Consequently, the concert will be held under the patronage of the British High Commissioner for Malta H.E. Ms Katherine Ward LVO OBE. Throughout the concert, the band will be executing a variety of musical pieces ranging between classical, soundtracks and modern pieces. Apart from “Rule Brittania”, one of the pieces “A Royal Salute” written by Mro. Dr John Galea, in honour of King Charles III’s coronation, will be performed in Malta for the first time. The band will be under the baton of its musical director Maestro Dr. John Galea.
