In this picture uploaded to Facebook by Marise Aquilina, Delina and Pawlu can be seen laughing and smiling as always as they sit in front of their store.

Delina and her shop became so well known to the point that the hill from Spinola Square up the main street became known as it-telgha ta’ Delina by locals instead of the actual street name.

Happy Mothers Day! :) and a special mothers day goes to the one who started the business, and our large and loving family, the famous Delina :) xxxx

When the feast used to come round and the Parish would be announcing the marches and processions, they would even say that they were passing from ‘Delina’.

The paint store still exists today, but is now owned by Delina’s relatives.
