Many St Julian's residents and those living in nearby areas are bound to remember the incredibly charming Delina and her husband Pawlu, the owners of the ‘Spinola Paint Store’.

In this picture uploaded to Facebook by Marise Aquilina, Delina and Pawlu can be seen laughing and smiling as always as they sit in front of their store.

Delina and her shop became so well known to the point that the hill from Spinola Square up the main street became known as it-telgha ta’ Delina by locals instead of the actual street name.

When the feast used to come round and the Parish would be announcing the marches and processions, they would even say that they were passing from ‘Delina’.

The paint store still exists today, but is now owned by Delina’s relatives.
