Davide Tucci, Colin Fitz, Taryn Mamo Cefai and others to star in Freddie Portelli’s new musical!
It’s quite the star-studded line-up.
Malta’s own rock ‘n roll king, Freddie Portelli will become a musical. Yep, you read that right. And part of the cast of this brand-new musical, Il-Kbir Ghadu Gej, have just been announced, including some very famous and familiar faces!
Who are the performers in Il-Kbir Ghadu Gej?
1. Sweden-based pop singer Kevin Borg.
2. All-round performer Marilena Gauci.
3. Actor (and hunk) Davide Tucci.
4. Former Eurovision contestant Amber.
5. TV presenter Luke Dalli.
6. Actor and medical professional Max Dingli.
7. Singer, actress and presenter Leontine
8. Musician Mark Tonna
9. Radio host and actor Colin Fitz.
10. Actress and Bay radio host Taryn Mamo Cefai.
11. Actress and singer Michela Galea.
12. X Factor Malta contestant Petra.
13. Vibe drive time host Frank Zammit.
Powerhouse duo Dominic Galea and Sean Buhagiar return for this original musical in Maltese following their successful work on Balzunetta Towers (2017) and Ħanina Maddalena (2018). Local heavyweight Malcolm Galea will be scripting.
The musical is set to be performed in summer, and will include a new single released a few months ago, also called Il-Kbir Ghadu Gej that hit the radio waves with a bang. The king is back and he’s getting ready to rock our world again!
