There’s quite the gap, too.
Malta is currently leading in the race to vaccinate populations as it currently tops the EU chart of vaccinations per 100 people. The news was shared in a post on socials by Prime Minister Robert Abela.
There is a significant gap between Malta and other countries since 11.7 per 100 people have been given the first vaccine since 23rd December. Denmark ranks in second, followed by Cyprus and Romania.
“All healthcare workers who are vaccinating people in the COVID-19 vaccination programme are doing priceless work. Thank you on behalf of the Maltese and Gozitan population,” Prime Minister Abela said on socials.
