Remembered as most British soldiers' favourite haunt, Strada Stretta, or Strait Street, has undergone a radical transformation in recent years to transform in a sophisticated entertainment street.
However, before restaurants and high-end bars filled its buildings, Strait Street was known as 'The Gut', where all ounce of morality was abandoned for reckless abandon, be it through drink or more physical, * cough * and illegal * cough * activity.

This meant that while work was strife across the Maltese islands, Strait Street was constantly buzzing with activity thanks to its fiery allure.
