Bird in a bun: 8 Christmas burgers and ftiras you can get in Malta
Here are some special burgers and ftiras designed to get you into the Christmas spirit

’Tis the season to be jolly and many Maltese eateries are certainly feeling festive.

A number of restaurants have given their menus a seasonal makeover for the month, designed to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Here are some of them:

1. Panina

Keeping it classic with turkey, brie and cranberry jam… and you also get a slice of Christmas log at the side.

2. Bulubeef

The turkey has been swapped for a smashed beef patty, but the cranberry sauce and camembert is sure to give it a delectable December twist.

3. CFC

Camembert bites galore, with either a chicken or a beef patty.

4. Hermanos

Santa came to serve, and it looks like his sack has been replaced by a red brioche bun this year.

5. SFC

Another red bun, but this time with camembert bites and cranberry sauce. Christmas in a bun?

6. Andrew’s

The legendary local snack bar has just rolled out its new turkey ftira, complete with caramelised onions in mulled wine, and Drinu certainly seems to love it.

7. Shakes n Bakes

Two December burger specials, which can be washed down with a seasonal gingerbread milkshake and finished off with a snowflake donut.

8. KFC

Not only a special seasonal burger, but some camembert triangle bites as a side too.
