They are definitely looking better!

A series of photos uploaded by RECOOP, a restoration company based in Malta, show the massive improvement some of the paintings at the St Theresa chapel, have undergone.

The chapel is found inside Valletta St Paul’s parish church and is truly a gem for locals and tourists alike to visit.

One of the paintings that was restored was the titular piece. It depicts the the transverberation of Saint Teresa in the presence of Saint Francis of Paola.

Some of the other paintings restored depict St Mary of Magdalene de’ Pazzi and St John of the cross.

They had been slowly deteriorating and desperately needed some work. As a result of the restoration they are now looking better and can be appreciated even more.
