Bakery heavyweights come up with delightful range just in time for Valentine’s Day
All you need is loaf!

Maypole may supply freshly baked bread every single day, but it’s their 2020 Valentine’s range of treats that’s got the GuideMeMalta office swooning!

Maypole, a Maltese grocery shop and bakery chain, has been catering to the masses since 1900, that’s 120 years! This year, they’ve pulled out all the stops to pull on our heart strings with cutesy patisserie offerings and the coolest baguettes we’ve ever seen.

Check out their “imħobża” seeded loaf, a take on the Maltese words for “love” and “bread”, awwwww! We see what they did there…

The heart-shaped crusty baguette comes in two colours, red or regular, and would make a delicious sandwich for two or a starter of garlic bread for a romantic evening dinner at home.

And how about one of their bubble-type ‘LOVE’ mini cakes or a heart-shaped strawberry sharing cheesecake for dessert? That should get you in the mood for love!

We’re super impressed with Maypole’s imħobża— more innovative Maltese foodie trends please!
