Art in miniature! 2025’s commemorative €2 coin sets are here, featuring Mdina & the Maltese bull
Some pieces of minted heritage have just dropped!

Coin collectors and history lovers, take note! The Malta Coin Centre has officially dropped the 2025 commemorative €2 coin sets – and they’re exclusively available online until Tuesday 15th April, or while stocks last.

This year’s designs pay tribute to two powerful Maltese symbols – one is the timeless city of Mdina, Malta’s ancient walled gem, beautifully depicted rising above surrounding fields. The other is ‘Gendus Malti’ (the Maltese Bull) – a nod to the powerful animal that was the heavy lifter of local agriculture before technology came along to help farmers.

One thing that’s got collectors buzzing is the rarity of these coins. They’re so limited that one of the packs is being priced as high as €3,480!

If you’re planning to buy, be ready for the online queuing system, which ensures a fair, first-come-first-served experience. You'll be notified of your position in line and how long you’ll need to wait. But don’t dawdle – once it’s your turn, you’ve got just 10 minutes to complete your purchase!

Which would you pick?
