All trained & ready to go! Andie the Autistic Service Dog takes first steps into the real world
She's graduated and stepping it up!

Training service dogs to assist autistic children is a delicate task which doesn't always give the desired fruits, yet for Autistic Service Dog Andie, who graduated from the program earlier this year, the young doggo has last week embarked on the next step of her journey.

Sharing pictures of the adorable pup on Facebook, the Service Dogs Malta Foundation indicated that Andie had moved on from her training and was assisting an autistic child full-time. The post read: "Good luck little one. We all know you'll be a very good girl."

In training since she was 8 weeks old, as is typical for such service dogs, Andie was monitored 24/7 and handlers believe she will "make them proud." In an ode to her dedicated trainer Stephanie, the post continued: " "Andie will definitely make Stephanie very proud...We thank Stephanie for her patience, dedication and love."

Good luck Andie!

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
