The event is completely free.

This 17th June as part of European Archaeology Days, the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, in collaboration with Heritage Malta and BirdLife Malta are organising a day where visitors can explore the Salina Nature Reserve in all its glory.

‘Above & Below Salina’ is an event where one can experience the reserve’s cultural and natural heritage.

The event is completely free and open to anyone who wishes to visit.

The experience “will see a 360° exploration of Salina as both a natural reserve and a cultural treasure, defined by the anthropological and archaeological activity across millennia”, the organisers explained.

Those who come will get the chance to attend talks and tours on the expanses of Salina's cultural heritage.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in a special VR experience that will illuminate the viewer on Malta's underwater archaeology.

The event is perfect for kids as children's activities will also be ongoing all throughout the day.
