A photo shared by Lawrence Marsh on Old photos of Malta, gives us a glimpse into how Maltese television looked like back in the 1960s.

As explained by Paul Attard in the comment section, the shot shows the filming of ‘Talent 67’, a talent show style competition programme that aired on MTV (Malta Television Service) in the year of 1967.

The show was presented by Victor Galdes and saw many performers and local bands competing against each other.

‘Talent 67’ was won by ‘The Addicts’ after they beat ‘The Movers’, who managed a close second place.

From the retro cameras, to the set up of the television studio and the outfits of the audience together with those of the performers, the show is simply oozing with the distinctive style of the 1960s!
