Okay, before we get to it – yes, we love dogs, and no one is going to stop us from showing our love. This not-so-little dude has captured our hearts so, we had to get in touch with his mama to learn more about him.

Meet Brownie, the gorgeous pupper who is turning 22 this year (that’s 154 human years)! “I got him as a birthday present on my 16^th birthday from the Floriana SPCA,” his mama, Denise Fenech tells us. “As a puppy he was quite active. He eats everything, loves veggies and fruit a lot and has been going for his daily walk for the past 22 years. Rain or sun he never misses it! He actually loves the rain. When I tell him to go back inside, he doesn’t!”

Due to his old age, Brownie is on eight pills a day to help his arthritis and his general health. According to X-rays, poor Brownie has injuries and isn’t supposed to be able to walk. But the fighter does! “He’s also a bit blind and at the moment we have to pick him up because he cannot climb the stairs. But he walks fine.” A miracle, if you ask us!

“Lately, he’s sleeping a lot but still loves his old habits like playing with his toy and staying hours in the balcony looking at people,” she says. A true Maltese personality right there! And when he’s not spending time with mama, he’s at grandma Joyce’s crib chilling with her. “She’s an angel and takes care of him while I’m at work,” Denise says.
