Now this is something you don’t see every day. Photographer Steve has shared a peculiar photo of what he’s called a ghost ship that he spotted in the St Paul’s Bay area, and it’s got us scratching our heads.
A ghost ship, also known as a phantom ship, is one with no living crew on board. It has creepy connotations, too, because such a ship is usually found adrift with missing or dead crew. We’re hoping this isn’t the case!
“A ghost ship, just off the Maltese coast. Looks like it’s falling apart or being scrapped at sea?” photographer Steve speculates in his post. The ship's got its anchor down so we're not quite sure it's a spooky ship...
One Facebook user commented that it is possibly the Endo Sirocco, but another user noted that, “the mast, stack, and lifeboat location don’t seem to match the Sirocco.” Hmm…. Quite the mystery surrounding this ship.
Do you know anything about this ship?
