A dose of nostalgia! Photo from the 1980s shows students taking their exams at Fort St Elmo
Travelling back in time!

A photo shared by ‘Is-Servizz Publiku’ on social media shows many students in Malta hard at work as they take their exams.

The photo was taken some time in the 1980s in Valletta.  During that era, it was very common for students to take their school exams in the big hall located in the historical Fort St Elmo.

Many in the comment section soon nostalgically recalled the many exams they took here.

Most, specifically remembered the exams that would require their typewriter and how it would almost feel like an earthquake when there would be 100 students or more all using their typewriter at the exact same time!

Many of the students had to carry their typewriter all the way across Valletta to reach the Fort, a memory which as you can imagine was not fond to many, especially when they had to carry it in Malta's summer heat!

Things sure have changed since then!

Do you remember taking any exams here?
