A classy surprise! Valletta pub gets a visit from British etiquette royalty William Hanson
Valletta just got a little more posh!

Chef Daniel Borg Cardona shared some exciting news – his beloved Valletta pub, City Crown, recently welcomed a very distinguished guest: none other than British etiquette expert William Hanson.

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because William Hanson is a household figure in the UK for his wit, charm, and razor-sharp sense of decorum. He’s the co-host of the wildly popular podcast ‘Help I Sexted My Boss’ – a hilarious advice show where he teams up with radio personality Jordan North to tackle modern-day dilemmas with a touch of class (and plenty of sass). The show boasts a sold-out live tour and even a companion book.

Hanson also hosts ‘The Luxury Podcast’ (formerly ‘Keeping Up Appearances: The Luxury Podcast’) with Jonathan Vernon-Smith, where they dive into all things lavish – from five-star travel to fine dining and luxury living.

More than just a podcast personality, William Hanson is an established etiquette coach, twice a Sunday Times bestselling author, and executive director of ‘The English Manner’, a renowned etiquette and protocol coaching company based in the UK.

His surprise visit to City Crown comes as a delightful nod to the growing charm of Malta’s capital, with its mix of traditional pubs, gourmet fare, and warm Mediterranean hospitality. Chef Daniel was clearly thrilled, sharing a photo of the visit on social media and adding a sprinkle of local pride to the international recognition.

Have you spotted the distinguished man roaming the capital?
