The most wonderful time of the year is here, and the big day is just five days away. If you’re driving around, or rushing to get all your shopping done, take a moment to admire these gorgeously lit spots around Malta.
1. Valletta’s streets
Valletta’s main streets are always quite the sight during the festive season. Malta’s capital is beautifully lit every year with the main attraction being in Republic Street. But wherever you go in Valletta, bright lights surround you as you shop or catch up with friends over your fave cocktail.
2. Triton Square
Triton Square, just outside City Gate has been getting quite the traction lately. The wonderland that has been opened for the duration of the holidays shines bright – even visible from towns over!
3. Sliema’s Dingli Street
How gorgeous is this? At the top of Dingli Street in Sliema is what’s called The Three Trees, and this year have been decorated with gorgeous lights, giving the area a magical feel this Christmas.
4. Opposite the Law Courts
Right opposite the Law Courts are strings of falling lights that decorate the area. They look like something out of a magical fairy land, if you ask us!
5. Rabat
The quaint town in the northern part of the island is always lit up to celebrate the festive season. So why not take a stroll through the quiet streets and stop for a glass of wine somewhere? Sounds perfect.
6. Sliema’s St Anne’s Square
St Anne’s Square in Sliema brought out all the stops this Christmas. Just check that out! The old trees are decorated with fairy lights and there’s a huge present smack beneath the trees. If this doesn’t feel Christmassy, we don’t know what will!
