They totally brighten up Malta's streets!

Jillian Mallia

The most wonderful time of the year is here, and the big day is just five days away. If you’re driving around, or rushing to get all your shopping done, take a moment to admire these gorgeously lit spots around Malta.

1. Valletta’s streets

Valletta’s main streets are always quite the sight during the festive season. Malta’s capital is beautifully lit every year with the main attraction being in Republic Street. But wherever you go in Valletta, bright lights surround you as you shop or catch up with friends over your fave cocktail.

5. Rabat

The quaint town in the northern part of the island is always lit up to celebrate the festive season. So why not take a stroll through the quiet streets and stop for a glass of wine somewhere? Sounds perfect.

6. Sliema’s St Anne’s Square

St Anne’s Square in Sliema brought out all the stops this Christmas. Just check that out! The old trees are decorated with fairy lights and there’s a huge present smack beneath the trees. If this doesn’t feel Christmassy, we don’t know what will!
