5 new cases added to Malta's COVID-19 list

It has just been reported in an ongoing press conference with the Superintendent for Public Health, Prof Charmaine Gauci that Malta has another 5 cases to add to its list. This brings the nation's tally up to 139.

The five new cases include four locally transmitted and one imported. A 60-year-old has also been admitted into the ITU, joining the previously reported 61-year-old.

While this is another small number, the Superintendent appealed to the public to keep abiding by the health directives being issued, including the lockdown that is due to start tomorrow for the elderly and high risk people such as pregnant women, those with heart problems, insulin-dependent diabetics and those with HIV, among other patients.
