It all looks so different in the cooler (and wetter) months.
1. Mdina Fortification, Mdina, Malta
Mdina always gifts its viewers with a supreme feast for the eyes, but this recent shot has pretty much surpassed the scorched summer glow and replaced it with a beautifully green backdrop.
2. Comino
Comino is not usually thought of as a luscious green area but is, rather, known as one of the bluest spots on the Maltese islands. This shot begs to differ though. Just take a look at those beautifully tall trees which dominate the shot.
3. Chadwick Lakes, Rabat, Malta
The lakes here serve as a true source of sustenance for the life forms which call Chadwick Lakes their home, a place which is so green and so full of life. Look out for the tadpoles and those mamma frogs splashing in the shallow water.
4. Dingli Cliffs, Dingli, Malta
The cliffs that run across the periphery of Dingli are generally pretty green throughout the year, but the winter months capture the true beauty of this end of the island by basking it in a clear green glimmer.
5. Gozo
Malta’s sister island is known to be the greener of the two islands, possessing spectacular green fields, sky-soaring trees and tremendous amounts of plants scattered across the picturesque land.
6. Ta’ Sarraflu, Ta’ Cenc, Gozo
Once again, Gozo’s magnificent greenscapes captivate our attention with a miraculous lush and blue rendition of Mother Nature’s best-bits.
7. Mgarr ix-Xini, Ghansielem, Gozo
Seems like someone’s showing off - there are no ifs, buts or maybes here. Green suits you, Gozo! Brings out the shine in your eyes.
8. Sannap Cliffs, Munxar, Gozo
One of the greenest spots in Malta is the Sannap Cliffs, a gorgeous rugged area where local sheep chew at the grass below their hooves as their shepherds gaze at the distant horizon.
9. Buskett, Siggiewi, Malta
Malta’s forest land never looked so pretty. Buskett is the perfect spot for Sunday picnics, a doggy walk like no other and a simple romantic stroll with your to-go-to-person.
10. Fomm ir-Rih, Mgarr, Malta
Quite honestly, there are no words to describe the sight at Fomm ir-Rih. If you’ve never been, get going right now. The tranquility and peace which settles on the area is highly contagious.
