It's time to embrace the cosy season again! Fancy a bucket list for all your winter needs, wants and should dos on the Maltese Islands this winter? We got you! We’re thinking sports, exercise, adventure, and even some once-in-a-lifetime experiences, as well as a good dose of cultural, religious and environmental activities. Here are some top suggestions to try this winter.

1. Hike it out on the sister isle - try the walk from Xlendi Bay all the way round to Sanap Cliffs;

2. Comino needs some love too, and while you're there factor in a visit to the old electric substation;

3. If you're into cycling, take your bike along and discover a new part of the Maltese countryside.

4. Fancy learning something new? Join one of your local council’s workshops or look out for classes you can join;

5. You can also pass on your mean skills to the next generation - share them with a little one in your family;

6. Whether it's a good old page turner or an epic piece of literature, winter is the perfect time to get back into reading.

9. Take a walk round the silent streets of Mdina or the bustling Valletta ones and soak up the heritage.

10. Join a clean-up and do some good for your community;

11. Or organise your own clean-up with family, friends or colleagues (at a safe distance, because of the circumstances);
