YAS! Malta makes Conde Nast Traveller’s top 10 warm countries to visit this October
Let’s face it, vacationing in October is always easier – schools have started, airports are a bit less crowded and prices are quite reasonable. And Malta is just the place to be in October, with Conde Nast Traveller (an international travel portal) agreeing with us! Conde Nast listed top 10 destinations to take a trip to this October for a hot getaway trip and our islands made the list!
Malta ranks bang in the middle at number 5 on Conde Nast’s list, who had some lovely words to say about our quaint islands, particularly the capital. With an average October temperature of 25°C, “Malta is blessed with an outrageously sunny climate,” writer Laura Chubb says, noting that “even in December, you’ll see more than five hours of sunshine a day.”
“It’s capital, Valletta, is a delight," she continues, describing "honey-coloured forts and cobbled streets, sun-dappled squares and back-alley wine bars, churches hung with Caravaggio originals and a budding crop of high-design hotels.” Laura also gives readers a handy tip about our islands: “Make time to explore outside the city walls, where you’ll find sandy beaches, quaint fishing villages and true-blue lagoons to laze around.”
Other spots on the list include La Gomera in the Canary Islands, Azores Islands in Portugal, Costa Brava in Spain, Taghazout in Morocco, Las Vegas in the States, Bali in Indonesia, Beirut in Lebanon, Trancosco in Brazil and finally ABC Islands in the Caribbean.
