Xita wisq sabiha! Which Maltese locality experienced the most rainfall last season?

Between last year and this year, Malta and Gozo have experienced quite some rain action with the 2019/2020 season seeing quite some recorded rainfall. Local weather site It-Temp Madwarna has shared the rankings of the total amount of rain (in mm) various localities registered during this period.

And the winner is…Siggiewi! This locality recorded an impressive 669.1mm of rain, with Imgarr coming in second with 647.0mm, followed by St Paul’s Bay in third with 622.9mm.

The 19 localities that the weather site listed range from 567.9mm (Zurrieq), 524.0mm (Mosta) and 509.1mm (Rabat) to 342.4mm (Birzebbuga), 337.3mm (Mellieha) and 267.6mm (Valletta).

It-Temp Madwarna also noted that during the rain season of 2019/2020, the months which experienced most rainfall were October (100.9mm) and November (146.5mm) of 2019 while the driest months were February (0.2mm) and August (0mm) of 2020.
