Maltese architecture is either traditional or decidedly modern nowadays. But every now and then we come across a spot that we just can't pinpoint, leaving us, well, a little flabbergasted. One such building is this house found in Xaghra, Gozo.

A picture of the particular house posted to the Facebook group GOZONE sparked quite the discussion with some hilarious comments about its peculiar shape. A “house for thin people” the Facebook user who posted the photo wrote.
Some users commented on the fact that it looks like a slice of cake, or possibly a pizza, suggesting it could be turned into a new foodie joint in the area. Others were quick to comment that it resembles the Flatiron Building in New York City and a similar one in Toronto called the Gooderham Building. It kinda does, doesn’t it? But, on a much, MUCH smaller scale, of course!
Another user cracked us up, saying, “It never even occurred to me before that it’s a house! I thought it was a road separator thingy.” If nothing else though, it’s definitely unique, and one that’s definitely worthy of a visit if you’re ever on Malta’s sister isle.
Have you seen this building?
