Aer Lingus, the national airline of Ireland and a wholly owned subsidiary of International Airlines Group (IAG), headquartered at Dublin Airport, has announced a new route connecting Malta to Dublin. This route is set to commence on the 25th of October 2024 with its inaugural flight also scheduled for that day.

This Malta-Dublin route is part of a trio of new winter destinations, with additional routes to Marrakesh, Morocco, and Seville, Spain, also being introduced.

Flights between Malta and Dublin will operate three times a week, specifically on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, according to the airline’s booking platform. The inaugural flight for this new route is scheduled for the 25th of October.

The services to Seville and Marrakesh will begin on the 25th and on the 26th of October, respectively.

One-way tickets for the Malta-Dublin route start at €69.99. However, Aer Lingus notes that prices are subject to terms, conditions, and availability. This fare includes a 10-kilogram bag and a small carry-on item.

Aer Lingus describes Malta as a ‘feast for the senses,’ highlighting its pleasant year-round weather, vibrant markets, traditional feasts, and archaeological sites. The fact that English is one of Malta's official languages is also emphasised.

The flight duration from Dublin to Malta is approximately three hours and 45 minutes, with the return flight taking about four hours and five minutes.
