What do meeting new friends, painting landscapes and sipping wine have in common? Well, they can all be done simultaneously at Sip & Paint, a new art group concept in Malta!
Sip & Paint does exactly what is says on the tin— a group of art-loving individuals, be they beginners or intermediate meet up to paint on canvas and chat over a glass of wine. Sounds good to us!

Sip & Paint founder Victoria Chan, originally from Panama, moved to Malta a year ago and noticed that there was nothing like the group in Malta. Victoria organised similar events back home and decided to take the idea to new shores! Since then, Sip & Paint has gone from strength to strength and is a big hit amongst attendees who enjoy the social aspect of the venture, as well as the painting exercises themselves!
The group promised to spice up what would normally be boring days and evenings, bringing participants something a little out of the ordinary. All materials including paints, canvases, brushes and aprons are provided, not forgetting the accompanying wine!

"My parents always taught us to 'make what we love' and, here I am, trying to make that advice come true every time I can. I was doing a trek in Spain called the Camino de Santiago where I met the love of my life, who's Maltese. That was how I arrived to this beautiful island. I already had a profession, but my mind is always full of ideas. I just love to create!" Victoria tells Guide Me Malta.
"What started out as a hobby turned into Sip & Paint Malta, which are 2 hour-guided session, where you can relax with a drink, have fun, and take home a nice piece of art. We cater for public events where you can come alone, with family, friends or colleagues, and also private events, including all type of ideas such as birthday parties and hens parties. The classes are for people of all ages who want to have a different and unforgettable experience. And no, you don't have to be an artist!" she continues.

Sip & Paint have even started to venture into team building events, which are perfect for getting to know your colleagues a bit more as you muse over one another’s skills!
Sip & Paints events currently run twice a month in different locations and booking in advance is recommended as spaces fill up quickly. We can’t wait to try them out for ourselves and make some like-minded new friends in the process!
