Where's the distance? People queue up in front of Qormi BOV despite health warnings
It is advised that people keep a 2m distance from one to the other

Health authorities have been constanly stressing the importance of keeping a safe distance from each other to curb the spread of COVID-19, but this seems to have fallen on deaf ears as people formed a long line in front of BOV's Qormi branch this morning, all queueing up in close proximity to each other.

This has been a common occurence in recent days, with photos shared to Facebook displaying tight, long queues in front of other bank branches and even in front of pharmacies.

In an attempt to minimize non-essential contact between clients and bank staff, BOV announced that only withdrawals above a €500 amount can be affected from the cashier, with all withdrawals under said amount (should there be more than that in the account) made available through ATMs.

We're going to be at the receiving end of another stern warning from Prof Charmaine Gauci today!
