Where have we been travelling to? 11 hotspots Maltese Instagrammers visited in 2018
The best part of travelling is coming back home... or is it?

Kristina Cassar Dowling

No matter how much we love our little island in the heart of the Med, it’s sometimes great to get away to discover the rest of the globe. We Maltese love to travel, and it’s so easy for us to get around the world with flights connecting with Malta super easily. Here are some of the top travels we’ve seen in recent months.

1. Rome

Let’s start close to home - Rome, capital of Italy and home of the best carbonara you could get your hands on. There’s also the Colosseum, and some other things too.

2. Paris

A winter favourite and perfect for a romantic getaway; the city of love is none other than Paris. Where the fashion is hot and the wine is always on point.

3. Portugal

Not only famous for its footballers, Portugal sports the most astounding views, and was claimed Europe’s top food city in 2017... oh, it also boasts some of the world’s most eclectic architecture.

4. London

Last on our European list; London - a favourite amongst the Maltese for the shopping and the pints. Think red buses, fish and chips, and a chill in the air.

Pho, temples, bustling cities and a whole lot of fresh fruit is not even close to all that Vietnam has to offer. The Golden Bridge will be but one of your killer Insta shots when you visit.

Surfer’s paradise, tacos-on-tap and the idea of free living are some of the ideas that come to mind when thinking of California. What a dream! Can we go, please?

11. Morocco

Full swing back to the Mediterranean - a land of wonder and so much culture! Take in the colours and well, the camels - they won't mind - a break on the glowing sand sounds good to them!

Beauty surrounds us and it’s only a short plane ride away - the best thing though is that you know you’ll always come back to the little islands in the heart of the Med.
