The amount of work being presented by local artists and curators is stunning. And this week, Solar Cinema continues its journey around Malta with its 100 per cent solar powered projections. Tomorrow night, a short film programme on the topic of travelling and journeys will be shown at Selmun Chapel, with singer-songwriter Claire Tonna introducing the evening with some well-chosen music and thoughts. Well-chosen is another word used to describe the exhibits on display at the Storm Petrel Foundation in Attard: this astounding collection includes gothic novels, vintage posters, rare art work and press books. And, on Thursday, an exhibition, curated by Glen Calleja, will be launched, seeking to examine the relationship between the Maltese coast and literature. This will consist of an underwater installation, called Book in the Sea, which ‘writes’ on the surface of the water. Intrigued? So are we.
