Mqabba is gearing up for its Santa Marija festa, with The Travellers, a major street march and a spectacular pyrotechnic display all lined up for Thursday 13th August.
The evening will centre around Il-Marċ tat-Tielet Tridu, described by organisers Sezzjoni Żgħażagħ Santa Marija Mqabba as the largest street march of the Mqabba festa.
This year’s celebrations will also feature the second edition of Towers of Fire, an innovative pyrotechnic spectacle created entirely by the youth section.
The display will combine fireworks with a performance by internationally acclaimed soprano Antonetta, with organisers promising an experience unlike anything previously staged during the Mqabba festa.
Maltese band The Travellers will also take to the stage for a live performance as part of the festivities.
The celebrations will then continue with an afterparty featuring Emerson & Kavall, together with the Youth Band.
Sezzjoni Żgħażagħ Santa Marija Mqabba said the evening will showcase two first-of-their-kind experiences for the Mqabba festa and the wider Maltese festa scene.
The festivities will take place on Thursday 13th August, ahead of the Feast of Santa Marija.
