Let the shows begin!:
Thursday, 20 September at 7.30pm: The Greatest Show - Sir Temi Zammit Hall, University of Malta, Msida

The Greatest Show / Facebook
Based on the immensely popular (and addictive) film The Greatest Show Man, this musical, taking place at Sir Temi Zammit at the University of Malta, will feature singing by the Malta National Children’s Choir, together with performances from local vocalists, dancers and actors. Light effects, animation and special visual effects will also all be used to create a show designed to knock you off your chair and singing along. Hurry up and get your tickets from here – the show is almost fully booked!
Tuesday, 18 September at 8.30pm: The Swingles in Concert - Pjazza Teatru Rjal, Valletta

The Swingles / Facebook
It’s rare to have such a knock-out concert promised at the beginning of the week but here it is! The Swingles, a seven-piece set of singers, whose composition has constantly been evolving since the ensemble launched in the 1960’s, have won five Grammy’s since their inception. The group has even collaborated with household names such as Jamie Cullum and Labrinth and, on Tuesday, head to Pjazza Teatru Rjal to croon their hearts out. Will you go along? Tickets from here.
The last festival of the season?
From today, Monday, 17 September at 2pm – Monday, 24 September: The Bubble 2018 - A Festival of Life - Ghajn Tuffieha

The Bubble NGO / Facebook
The Bubble, despite its effervescent name, is more than just airy entertainment. This week-long festival (tickets here), celebrating art, music, nature and community-spirit, raises funds for environmental and humanitarian causes, seeking to make a positive mark on the world around it. This year, the Youth Hub in St. Lucia, the Jose Depiro Kabataan Orchestra in the Philippines, the Gaia Foundation, Majjistral Park and Get Trashed Malta will be among many other entities to receive help.
Head outside (weather permitting):
Tuesday, 18 September from 8pm: Hot Club of Valletta Back at The Gut - The Gut, Strait Street, Valletta

Hot Club of Valletta Back at The Gut / Facebook
Performances by George Curmi, otherwise known locally as il-Puse, are known to attract music lovers from near and far, with many a loyal follower seeking out another opportunity to listen to his inimitable brand of high-voltage violin playing. Tomorrow, he will be joined on The Gut’s outside stage by Joshua Bray, Anthony Saliba, Steve Delia and Yuri for an evening of frenetic sounds and jump-to-your-feet tempos.
Tuesday, 18 September at 8pm: Go Greener Short Films for Children / Kalkara - Kalkara Playground, Kalkara

Solar Cinema
What planet are we leaving our kids? This is a big question in the minds of the organisers of Solar Cinema, which has been making its way around the island over the summer, showing quality films in a set-up completely run on solar power. Tomorrow, they head to Kalkara for a programme of short environmental films for the younger generation, aiming to inspire and motivate into action.
