Friday, 30 November to Sunday 2 December: BMX Fest - Xmas Edition 2018 - Malta BMX Indoor Skatepark, Pembroke

Get on your ride and head to the indoor skatepark in Pembroke for some serious competition in this Christmas Edition of the international BMX Fest. Riders from all over the world are expected to congregate and pitch their skills to win the coveted honour. Judges from all across the world will be keeping their eyes peeled to award the best and the fastest. Have you got what it takes? 

Saturday, 1 December from 9.30am – 4.30pm: Try Scuba Diving in aid of L-Istrina - DiveMed, Zonqor Road, Marsascala

Divemed have been providing exceptional diving services for years and, this weekend, they’re putting their skills to good use with an event in aid of L-Istrina, the annual charity extravaganza which takes place over the Christmas period. You don’t need to be an expert – you don’t even need to have ever tried it. The professionals at Divemed will accompany you at every step of the way – all in aid of a good cause, of course. Every day this weekend from 11am: Lola's Christmas Market - Villa Madama, Triq Birbal, Balzan

This quaint and cosy market promises a fun weekend, filled with entertainment for the young and young-at-heart. With stalls selling toys, jewellery, traditional Christmas decorations, gourmet foods, books, ponsiettas, fresh trees and so much more, you’ll get more than your fair share of goods in the run up to the festive season – and a good time to boot! The event is in aid of Puttino Cares, which means you can treat yourself, and help those in need. After all, isn’t that the true meaning of Christmas?

Saturday, 1 December from 9.30am – 12.30pm: Christmas Fayre - The Undercroft Cafe St. Paul's Anglican Pro-Cathedral, Old Theatre Street, Valletta

For something a little more traditional, St Paul’s Anglican Pro-Cathedral in Valletta, is hosting a traditional Christmas Fayre (spelling intentional) in their newly refurbished Undercroft. You may not see snow or feel the need to warm up over a hot toddy (we hope), but all the trappings of the Christmas season are being offered. And, admission is free!

Friday, 30 November from 8.30pm: Pick n' Pen Chapter III & Tact - Teatru Salesjan, Sliema; Friday, 30 November from 7.30pm: PechaKucha #10 - Valletta Contemporary, Valletta

The musico-literary group, Pick'n'Pen, is back at the stunning Teatru Salesian in Sliema, to offer captivating readings (in both English and Maltese) which will be complemented with original music by Tact. And, on that same night, on the other side of the harbour, some of Malta’s stalwarts of the artistic scene are gearing up to offer “concise presentations”. Brikkuni frontman Mario Vella, Kinemastik founder Slavko Vukanovic and filmmaker Stephanie Sant are just three of those with something more than interesting to say…
