Sunday 25 February: 2018 Vodafone Malta Marathon – Starting point at Mdina Gate
On your marks, get set… go! It’s finally time for the 33rd edition of the Malta Marathon. Four thousand people, coming from all over the world, will be participating in this yearly event, the largest, most popular of its kind on the islands. It starts at 7:30am at Mdina gate, and those who finish get a medal to proudly display – until next year! For more information, please visit the official website and route description page. Sunday 25 February: Tarxien Temples Free Open Day – Tarxien

Heritage Malta is once again offering locals and visitors the opportunity to learn more about the mysterious people who lived on this archipelago hundreds of years ago. Tarxien temples – one of the largest and most complex prehistoric sites on the Maltese islands - will be open to the public for free, for just one day. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the complex features some of the best examples of prehistoric art, including the well-known reliefs of two bulls and a sow. Taking place in the opulent surroundings of the Grand Ballroom at the Phoenicia Hotel in Floriana, this concert is for anyone who is looking for a classy evening with some great music. Nadine Axisa, a singer with a velvety voice, brings to life the iconic numbers immortalised by Frank Sinatra. Performing many of Sinatra’s most popular and classic hits, Nadine will take the audience on a time-hopping journey reminiscent of the foot-tapping, finger-snapping enthusiasm of the swing era.
