This celebration of fashion for starters…
Saturday 2 June from 8:30pm – 11pm: Malta Fashion Awards 2018; Friday 1 June at 7:30pm: Gagliardi - Malta fashion week - Fort St. Elmo, Valletta.

The Malta Fashion Week is coming to a close this weekend and what a week it has been! Fashionistas have been seen; designers have displayed their wares; and lots of selfies were taken. And, the event will come to a head on Saturday with the awards ceremony taking place in the captivating Triton Square in Valletta. Before that, however, get a last minute look at some of the creations supported by Malta Fashion Week with Milan-based Gagliardi’s turn on the catwalk on Friday.
And this festival of the alternative:
All weekend: Earth Garden Festival 2018 - Ta' Qali National Park, Ta' Qali.

The Earth Garden Festival has already started but if you didn’t get the chance to make it to Ta Qali last night, you have another three days in which to experience this extravaganza of alternative music in a peace-loving set-up (including vintage VW vans), surrounded by like-minded party-goers. Sunday night promises to be a highlight with the Roots Stage hosting Nicky Bomba and the Malta Ska Orchestra, consisting of multiple Maltese musicians booked to accompany Nicky Bomba in the stead of his Melbourne-based ensemble.
Don’t forget the other parties:
Friday 1 June from 8pm: Mgarr Marina Yacht Club Lounge Bar - Mgarr Marina Yacht Club Lounge Bar, Mgarr, Gozo; Friday, 1 June from 10pm – 3am: Swinga's All Things Swing Vol1 - Funky Monkey, Manoel island, Gzira.

TGIF! Celebrate the end of the working week with some funky sounds at – yes, you’ve guessed it! – the Funky Monkey in Gzira. But, if you’re not nowhere near the area and, instead, you’re enjoying a few days in Gozo, the Mgarr Marina Yacht Club Lounge and Bistro is re-opening for the summer. There will be a music and there will be great drinks. The questions is: will you be there?
Saturday, 2 June from 8pm – 10pm: Brodu - Band in a Can - LIVE at Hole in the Wall - Hole in the wall, Sliema.

Hole in the Wall / Facebook
You can’t say there isn’t something for everyone this weekend. Hole in the Wall in Sliema is presenting Band in a Can, which means that audiences will be listening to the band, Brodu, via wireless headphones! Just in case you're a bit hard of hearing...
Friday, 1 June from 11pm: G7 FRIDAYS 2018 - Gianpula Village, Zebbug; Saturday, 2 June from 10pm: Ziggy Saturday Weekly at Uno - Uno Malta, Crafts Village, Ta' Qali.

And, the start of the summer season, brings along the open-air parties which have become an entertainment staple over the past decade or so. Gianpula Village has already launched its G7 Fridays which continue this weekend while Uno Malta will be hosting its Ziggy Saturday Weekly. So, get your dancing shoes on and wear them in!
Or about feeling better, body and soul:
Friday, 1 June from 6pm – 7:30pm: Yoga For Charity - De La Salle College, St. Edwards street, Birgu; Friday, 1 June from 8pm – 11pm: Nightwalk Adventure in Sigiewwi And Fawwara.

Nightwalk Adventure In Sigiewwi And Fawwara / Facebook
It’s so rare to find an activity which is good for the body and good for the soul. But, this weekend, there are two of them. On Friday evening, try out some Yoga for charity at De La Salle school in Birgu. There is a 10 euro donation applicable which is in aid of Remax Alive 2018, the cycling challenge raising funds to help people with cancer. Later on that same night, a walk is being organised from the village of Siggiewi through the Maltese countryside to Fawwara, in the south of the island, and donations are being collected to help children in Ethiopia.
Saturday, 2 June from 7am – 1pm: The Grid 2018 – starting from Pembroke.

The Grid / Facebook
But, for something a bit (ok, a lot) more intense, challenge yourself by taking part in The Grid – a fitness test if ever there was one! Head through 15k of obstacles, across rough terrain – including mud, sea and killer hills – to see if you’ve got what it takes.
And, lastly, laugh, hum and experience some culture:
All weekend from 8pm: Sleeping Beauty: The Adult Panto - Spazju Kreattiv, Valletta.

Adult Panto / Facebook
It’s not Christmas yet, is it? If you miss all the trappings of the festive season, but especially, the yearly panto, you’re in luck. Panto is back in town. And – even better – it’s adults only. Leave your kids at home and enjoy an evening with sleeping beauty, in a story featuring the “hottest princess in the land whose life gets all messed up because of a little prick” (according to the official press material). Tickets from here.
All weekend from 8pm – 9pm: Bands at the Manoel Weekend - Teatru Manoel, Valletta.

King's Own Band / Facebook
The festivities continue at the Teatru Manoel with three of Malta brassiest bands playing over the weekend. The King’s Own Band, the Armed Forces of Malta Band and the La Valette Band will be putting on a show you’ll hum to long after the curtains come down. Tickets from here.
From Friday, 1 June: Found ă mentalism II - Spazju Kreattiv, Valletta.

Found ă mentalism II
More than 40 international artists have come together to exhibit their works in an effort to bridge divides and in a signal of cooperation, which will - hopefully - set a positive example in the art world and beyond. Found ă mentalism II opens this weekend and promises to show a diversity of art, in various forms, all of which have one thing in common: hope for the future.
